This is a translation for your convenience. In case of any difference in meaning, the Dutch version of these terms prevails, and Dutch law applies.
1. What this site is for
EchteVacatures.nl publishes vacancies from organisations that employ the colleague themselves. We are not an intermediary, not a staffing agency and not a broker. We do not come between employer and candidate and receive no fee per candidate or placement.
2. For employers
2.1 Who may post
Only organisations that enter into the employment contract with the new colleague themselves. Excluded are staffing agencies, payroll companies, secondment firms, recruitment agencies, headhunters, search and selection firms and other intermediaries, whatever they call themselves.
2.2 What you declare on registration
By registering you declare that:
- your organisation employs the colleague itself;
- the chamber of commerce details given are correct and belong to your organisation;
- you are authorised to act on behalf of the organisation;
- the vacancy text is your organisation's and does not infringe third-party rights;
- the vacancy concerns a real, open position.
2.3 Checking and rejection
Every registration is checked as described on How we check. We may refuse a registration or vacancy with no further justification than the signals found, and we are not obliged to post any vacancy. If mediation turns out to be involved after posting, we take all vacancies of that organisation offline and block the organisation.
2.4 What posting costs
Posting a vacancy is free, including the second and the tenth. You pay with points for the use of the vacancy: points are deducted when a visitor opens the vacancy page and when a candidate responds. What each item costs is shown on your dashboard and on the employers page.
A view is counted once per visitor per 24 hours. Visits we recognise as automated and visits by the employer itself cost no points.
You buy points in advance, for an amount you choose yourself. Points do not expire and there is no subscription. We charge no fee per candidate and no commission when someone joins you.
If your balance is empty your vacancy stays online. Responses that come in then are kept but not released to you until your balance is sufficient again; after that they are released in the order they arrived. We notify you by email that responses are waiting. Nothing changes for the candidate: their application is sent and stays kept.
If we take a vacancy offline after posting or reject it, we credit the points deducted for it back to your balance.
We may change the rates, but never retroactively: a change applies only to points deducted after the change. Points already bought keep their value.
An organisation receives welcome points once. If the same organisation signs up again, for example under a different Chamber of Commerce number or with a different email address, we may withdraw the welcome points of that new sign-up. This then appears as a correction in your points overview. Purchased points are never affected.
2.5 Duration
A vacancy stays online for 60 days by default and then goes offline automatically. Taking it down earlier or extending it is possible by letting us know.
2.6 Applications
You receive an email for every application; you read the application itself in your dashboard and reply there. You only receive the candidate's email address and phone number once the candidate shares them; from that moment you are the data controller for those details. You may not use candidates' details to offer them to third parties.
3. For job seekers
3.1 Use and account
Use of the site is free. You can apply with or without an account. With an account you get a profile in which you keep your details, work experience, education and CVs.
3.2 What happens with your profile
Your profile is not findable by default. An employer sees your profile and your CV only if you applied to their vacancy, or if you switched on findable for employers in your profile yourself. You can switch that off again at any time, and delete your account with everything in it yourself. See the privacy statement for the details and the retention periods.
3.3 Correct details
You fill in your own details and not someone else's. A profile or CV with someone else's details is deleted by us without discussion.
3.4 No guarantee of a reply
We are not a party to the application procedure and cannot guarantee that you get a reply. What the employer does with your application is up to the employer.
3.5 Abuse
Abuse of the application form or the report form, for instance for advertising or automated messages, leads to a block.
4. Our effort and its limits
We do our best to keep intermediaries out, but we cannot guarantee that this always succeeds: the limits of our checking are described honestly on How we check. We are not liable for the content of vacancies, for the conduct of employers, or for consequential damage from use of the site. If you see something that does not belong here, report it and we will look into it.
5. Content and copyright
Vacancy texts remain the property of the employer who supplies them; by supplying them you give us the right to publish them on this site and in search engines. Copying vacancies from this site for another job site, or collecting them automatically, is not permitted.
6. Changes
We may amend these terms. The date at the top shows when that last happened. Dutch law applies to these terms.
